any of you guys use a line driver? ive been thinking about getting one, but not sure if theyre all pretty much the same or not. ive never messed with one, ive beeen told kove has a good one, audiocontrol, and ive seen phoenix gold and some others online, ive also heard a maxxlink can be used for just one amp but ive heard it can hurt your score using it on one amp. i plan on running multiple amps eventually but for the moment just be running one.

Re: line drivers
Craig is right. basically boost a hu voltage up, ie if a headunit is a standard 2volts out on the rcas, most line drivers are variable, you can boost your input voltage to whatever you need, some up to 14 volts or so. from experiences i have had, some amps dont like them and sometimes it can hurt. just really depends upon what you are looking to do. in the van, the driver made absolutely zero difference, other than having to turn the gains down even further than the 1/8 they already are.
